We are committed to the development of sustainable and healthy office furniture solutions. Not only the use of sustainable materials to products can contribute to international standards and certification, but also contribute to environmental quality standards, such as ANSI/BIFMA, Greenguard, GB as well as LEED and WELL standards. Moreover, with the raise of smart devices and automation, we put forward the concept of "Neighborhoods", which advocates the community and home furnishing in workplaces to meet people’s physical and emotional demands and improve the efficiency and creativity of employees. The pursuit of a healthy community is in harmony with WELL™ by broadening the focus of office space health from physiological needs of product materials, ergonomics and environmental performance to psychological needs of collaboration and communication, creativity and relaxation.
Compared with other standard for green buildings, WELL is a people-oriented and healthy building standard. It focuses on the health of interior environment of buildings and user living environment and people’s experience. Certified by third party GBCI (Green Business Certification Inc.,) to improve human health on the basis of improving environment effects.
WELL Building Standard is a dynamic assessment system based on building performance rating. It measures and verifies over 100 indicators in 10 dimensions of Air, Water, Nourishment, Light, Movement, Thermal Comfort, Sound, Materials, Mind and Community to monitor the impact of built environment on human health and well-being. These 10 concepts provide a measurable, verifiable, and monitored standard for the better workplace that workers seek and provide a basis for exploring a better and healthier office life, which is our intention to join the IWBI membership program.
1. As an office furniture company, the standards of air, light, motion, sound and materials, etc can be summarized into the satisfaction of physiological requirements, which are mainly reflected in our requirements for products.
Air: In addition to the fresh air system, the experience of high quality indoor air throughout the entire life cycle of the building can be achieved and awarded with bonus points. The selection of the certified hard mount materials and soft-furnished furniture can directly control the emission of formaldehyde and TVOC from the source of the problem. Lamex’s furniture with GREENGUARD GOLD certification and GB, SGS standards can also be satisfied.
Movement: In Aligned with environmental design strategies, management policies and measures that promote dynamic and active lifestyle, Lamex's ergonomic office chairs, height-adjustable desk, Longhouse (the industry's first community workplace solution) and other office accessories are available to increase activities in the workplace, foster collaboration, reduce strain on the body and enhance wellness.
Sound: How can you improve your optimal comfort sound experience? Lamex's Lumin soundproof cabin saves you from the embarrassment of answering calls while your colleagues are focused on their work without having to enter and leave your workplace. Lumin sound attenuation range is up to 43 dBA, and the noise reduction coefficient is up to 0.9 NRC, which effectively controls the impact of noise balance in the workplace.
Materials: To reduce the exposure to hazardous materials, Lamex uses the most advanced and environmentally friendly materials such as water-based spray paint and low formaldehyde environmentally friendly E0 international standard boards. We not only conduct sustainable product development and quality certification, but also more strictly monitor all aspects of the supply chain, and only cooperate with material suppliers that meet our requirements to fundamentally ensure the transparency, safety and volatility control of materials.
2. Mind and Community can be summarized to psychological needs. We can't be just satisfied with a height-adjustable desk or a set of collaborative furniture. We need to explore the working style and workplace they want from the perspective of users. According to Microsoft's 2018 research, face-to-face is the dominant way of working among the post-60s, 70s, 80s and 90s generations and the main future work mode will be "communication and collaboration".
Lamex’s "Neighborhoods" community workplace concept is emerged and planned for customers based on the principle of diversity, convenience, high collaboration and the needs of enterprises and employees. This concept supports employees the ways of working in work, play and rest continuum, improve employee performance, and stimulate creativity.
Based on this concept, Longhouse is an office solution designed for community creation. It is composed of 3 constituents: Bench (focus work), Social table (collaborative and interaction) and Pavilion (relax and recharge), in a minimalist form to clarify their needs in the community. Playces is a furniture collection created to work beautifully and purposefully everywhere – home, hotel or airport lounge, cafe or restaurants, and our evolving office – and uniquely designed to support our changing ways of working in a work, play and rest continuum.
Under this dynamic environment, employees can switch working modes efficiently to create a healthy and harmonious neighborhood relationship and improve productivity.
